❝ I’m a paradox. I want to be happy, but I think of things that make me sad. I’m lazy, yet I’m ambitious. I don’t like myself, but I also love who I am. I say I don’t care, but I really do. I crave attention, but reject it when it comes my way. I’m a conflicted contradiction. If I can’t figure myself out, there’s no way anyone else has. ❞

This time last year I was unemployed, broke, and suicidal.

Today, I just got the keys to my first house.

Give it time.

Needed this today

when you hear people preach that it gets better, they aren’t joking. if it’s not better yet, it will be.

this post could literally be saving lives rn and that is why i love this website.

The One After It Ended
So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Ross and Rachel got an apartment together in the city where they’ve been raising Emma. A few years later, Ross takes Rachel up to the planetarium where, as he once dreamed of doing, he filled the room with lilies and above them had written out a proposal in the stars.
Monica and Chandler moved into their house outside the city with Erika and Jack, who are now in grade school. Erika loves science and, much to Monica’s dismay, performs messy “experiments” all over the house in the name of science. Chandler loves dressing up the twins in cute costume parings for Halloween—this year they went as peanut butter and jelly.
Every Sunday the Geller-Bings invite the Geller-Greens, as well as Phoebe, Mike, and Joey, over for dinner. On occasion, Carole and Susan have come as well with Ben, who is now in college. Ben loves watching Joey yell as he shows him pop up GIFs on his phone, Joey never suspects it.
On Christmas the kids gather around to hear Phoebe’s songs. Ross has given up on dressing up as the holiday armadillo every year now that his kids are older. And every year, Rachel and Phoebe recruit the twins to help them find where Monica has hidden their presents, and every year Chandler also breaks down and helps, and every year they remain unsuccessful.
Your job’s a joke, you’re broke, your love life’s D.O.A.
Mike has combined his piano skills with Phoebe’s guitar playing and together they perform at coffee shops in the city. They don’t have kids, but they seem quite happy with their box of rats and they also get to watch Frank Jr.’s triplets from time to time.
One year, Rachel invited everyone over for the first Thanksgiving that wasn’t hosted by Monica. And while her English trifle—which was no longer half an English trifle, half a shepherds’s pie but an actual trifle—turned out beautifully, the same could not be said for the rest of the course and the gang ended up going out and getting Chinese food.
Gunther now owns the Central Perk.

It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear, when it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year
Emma comes out to Rachel when she’s middle school. Rachel worries that she may have trouble with school because of the other kids and turns to Carole for advice. Carole tells her that at times it’s going to be hard and you can’t control what other kids might say, but to be there for her and support and love her no matter what, which is just what Rachel and Ross do.

But I’ll be there for you when the rain starts to pour
Joey is sitting in his apparent when there’s a knock at the door. He opens it to a petite woman with a pixie cut holding a box of pizza.
“How you doin’?” He pulls her in for a kiss. They’ve been married one year now.
Monica and Chandler visit London on their anniversary every year.
I’ll be there for you like I’ve been there before
Chandler comes home and sees Monica in tears as she hangs up the phone. He rushes over and asks what’s wrong and she tells him that was her doctor. He grabs hold of her hand, preparing for the worst as she looks up and tells him she’s pregnant.
     “I know!”
“But I didn’t think we ever could—“
     “I know!!”
He picks her up, hugging her. They call in Erika and Jack to tell them that their family is going to be one person bigger.

I’ll be there for you, ‘cause you’re there for me too
When they can, the gang all gets together at their beloved coffee shop and it feels as if no time has passed. And while they’ve all grown up, they’re all still family.

How many forced, arranged, and fake marriages do we have to go through before we get an Indian serial that doesn’t entitle any of these?

❝ Don’t tell me that you love me, because anyone can tell me that. Tell me that I make you tear up with anger and frustration, but at the end of the day you still want to lay down next to me, put your arms around me, and sleep. ❞
